We are recruiting for Safety Innovators in Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam and The Philippines!

Safety Innovator Role

This role is part time to full time and you will report directly to Safetyknot Founder, remotely (via email and what’s app), and in person when she is in country. Your role as Safety Innovator will be key to enable Safetyknot to expand our reach and increase our impact in your country. As Safety Innovator, you will support with seeking new partnerships and collaborations, growing our training offerings, and support with operations, translation and logistics. Please note that you will primarily be working on your own (and remotely with Safetyknot Founder), so you need to be confident that you have the focus, drive and self-discipline required to work independently and meet deadlines.

Your Qualities & Experience

At Safetyknot we value potential as well as experience. Our key priority it to include team members who are truly passionate about making the world a safer place. To be successful in the Safety Innovator role, you will be an:

  • Independent and responsible worker with lots of motivation

  • Take initiative and be an innovative thinker

  • Be a fantastic communicator (ideally with experience in translation (verbal and written) and working remotely with teams

  • Be confident to set up and conduct meetings with new partners

  • Be fluent in both your native language (either Nepali, Thai, Vietnamese or Tagalog) and English (both written and verbal)

  • Have a related Master’s degree (or equivalent experience)

Key Activities

Whilst this role does require someone who is able to work independently, it should be noted that a detailed workplan will be provided and regular support will be given via email and skype. The activities below are intended to provide an indication of likely activities, but these are subject to change to reflect evolving need.  


  • Identify potential networking opportunities in your home country (either Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam or The Philippines) and region, including events, conferences and organisations

  • Be the contact point for partnerships

  • Attend relevant meetings as the Safetyknot representative as and when required


  • On-line research activities about injury, safety and other related information

  • Research related trainings online

  • Research safety equipment on the market (possible outlets/providers to partner with)

  • Research future potential partnerships and collaborations

Support with Training

  • Research into expansion of training topics

  • Training as and when required (such as logistics for training, translation etc)

  • Collection of feedback and testimonials from trainees

  • Provide training support

Support with Communications

  • Collect content for social media and website (including photos, videos and quotes)

  • Development and posting of social media and website

  • Development of communication content such as infographics

  • Drafting of newsletter content

  • Printing Safetyknot materials (including t-shirt, caps) if required


We want the best person for this role. Ideally, we would like someone to work full time, but we’re looking for the perfect fit, which means if you’re the right person for the role but can only work part time we will consider this. This role will initially be three months with the intention that this will lead to a longer term role for the right candidate.
